Like the declaration of Independence says, we all as human beings have the right to live, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It is human nature to always look for happiness. We are all different and have different perspectives when it comes to happiness. While some of us can happiness in enjoying life, being with our family or being with our loved ones, some might find it in having a huge house, a brand new car, jewelry and all that material things. We do have to accept that happiness, even if we see it differently, is a combination of the two. You cannot only live of love even if it is the greatest love ever seen. On the other hand you cannot only live of the material things you can buy. We need to have both, the sufficient ammount of money to live without worries and the sufficient ammount of love to enjoy the money. We all persue happiness in different ways but at the end we will always look for a balance on the two ends: the material things and the sentimental feelings.
Wow, I find this so cliche for my mother, when irritated, says,"no solo de amor se vive" but I like to think that if the love is strong enough the material things will come along unforseen. ALthough, I see what is meant by this because financial difficulties sets a great strain in a relationship. Well hopefully love will conqueer it all, and I strongly believe that it will conquer.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless (:
I agree in part with Emilia. "If the love is strong enough the material things will come along". Yes money is needed, but you don't have to be rich in order to be happy. And most people get addicted to material things, the more they have the more they want. It gets to a point where luxuries is all they seek for in life and forget the most important thing, love and happiness. I also agree with the quote you posted. Beautiful things come when least expected.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Luzma. You should always go after your happiness. I myself have found happiness with my husband and son. Though I am trying hard to keep my happiness by getting an education. I will soon be able to provide for my family. I love my life! Sorry, just wanted to point that out. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Luzmaria. We do have to look for our hapiness, and like you said "not only from love we can live." I find my happiness when I am surrounded by the people that I love. But I also find happiness when I go to church and thank God for all the blessings He has given me. It is very important that everyone seeks happiness, but not the happiness that lasts for a little but. Happiness that remains with you all the time.
ReplyDeleteWell this is so true. Some people have everything they ever wished for and sometimes they do not know how to appreciate it. Some fall for the simple mistakes caused by luxury, and then they find themselves with no one around to support them. On the other hand Some people have all the love in the world but do not have enough money to even eat. Your right having a little bit of both is just perfect, it is not all about the money.
